Silverside is a perfect sandwich filling. You can also enjoy the dish with your choice of vegetables.


1.5kg to 2kg corned beef
1 brown onion, peeled and halved
2 garlic cloves, whole
2 bay leaves
3 cloves
6 peppercorns
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup beef stock
½ cup tomato sauce


  1. Place the corned beef into the Crock-Pot® Express Pressure Multicooker.
  2. Add all the remaining ingredients and stir to combine slightly in the pan.
  3. Secure the lid and ensure the steam release valve is set to close. Select MEAT/STEW and adjust the TIME to one hour and thirty minutes (1:30), select START/STOP.
  4. Once the cooking is complete, allow the natural pressure release to occur. Remove the Silverside and wrap in foil, allow to rest for 10 minutes before carving.
